Airwolf ist eine von Donald P. Bellisario entwickelte US-amerikanische Actionserie. Sie lief erstmals am 22. Januar 1984 auf dem amerikanischen TV-Sender CBS. In Deutschland begann die Ausstrahlung am 22. April 1986 auf Sat1.
Airwolf ist der Name des schnellsten und bestbewaffneten Kampfhelikopters der Welt. Gesteuert vom draufgängerischen Piloten-Ass Huckleberry Hawke und seinem treuen Freund Dominic Santini kommt die unbezwingbare Superwaffe im Kampf gegen feindliche Spione und andere Kriminelle global zum Einsatz.

Trivia[]
Aufgrund von Differenzen zwischen CBS und Bellisario stand letzterer ab Staffel 3 nicht mehr zur Verfügung.
Wegen erheblich gestiegener Produktionskosten stieg CBS aus und Staffel 4 wurde von USA Network in Kanada produziert.
Der Helikopter wurde nach Ende der Dreharbeiten an eine deutsche Firma verkauft.
